Would or will mean these are the same meaning but in different tenses would be used in the past to express possibility or when we are imagining something but the verb will be used in the  future  in addition  to 'would' is used to express future events in the past tense as well as it is used to express different types of sentence functions such as polite offer, invitations and requests
